An electric forklift quote should identify a compatible truck, battery and charger as one system. Confirm battery chemistry and condition, charger input requirements, the charging routine, temperature limits and what the quoted package includes.
Ask for the actual battery specification
Get the battery type, voltage, capacity, model and condition in writing. For a used battery, request test information and relevant maintenance history. Do not assume two batteries with similar labels deliver the same working time in your application.
Define the work and charging opportunities
Tell the supplier how often the truck drives and lifts, the load profile, number of shifts and available breaks. Ask how the proposed battery and charger support that pattern. A nominal runtime is not a guarantee across different workloads and temperatures.
Confirm the facility requirements
Ask a qualified electrical professional to check the required supply and installation. The charging area, ventilation, handling arrangements and emergency procedures must suit the battery system and the manufacturer’s instructions. Different battery chemistries can require different precautions.
Check inclusion, warranty and support
Request confirmation of the charger, connector, cables and any equipment needed for battery handling. Compare warranty scope for the truck, battery and charger separately. Clarify who diagnoses faults and what a replacement battery would involve.
